Q: Why shouldn't I use superglue (502) at home?

Superglue cures into a rigid, brittle glass-like crystal. Footwear soles flex continuously with every step, which immediately cracks superglue and burns the rubber underneath. EXTRIM uses elastic PU adhesives that withstand dynamic walking flex.

Precision adhesive regluing and perimeter reinforcement for separated outsoles. We use industrial heat-press Polyurethane adhesives — never 502 or cyanoacrylate superglue.
