Cobbler near Thao Dien: repair, not a roadside stall
Searching “cobbler near me” in Thao Dien usually surfaces a street stall. That can be fine for a nailing job on a cheap sandal. It is a poor fit for split running-shoe glue, Louboutin heels, or anything you still want to wear in the rain.
EXTRIM is a workshop, not a stall: intake photos, a written VND quote, and a warranty on the joint we repaired.
Repair rates used on Thao Dien pickups
| Job | From (VND) | Warranty |
|---|---|---|
| Minor reglue (under half the outsole) | 250,000 | Up to 60 days |
| Full sole re-adhesion | 350,000–450,000 | Up to 60 days |
| Perimeter stitch-lock | 350,000 | Up to 60 days |
| Glue + stitch combo | 450,000 | Stated on the quote |
| Heel cap (dress / court) | quoted after cup check | Stated on the quote |
If the foam has hydrolysed or the cup is torn, we recommend replacement instead of another glue layer. That is said before work starts.
Five-step process (same at both workshops)
- Intake & photos — each pair is inspected, photographed, and tagged. The check is free.
- Fixed VND quote — nothing starts until you confirm the price on WhatsApp or at the counter.
- Workshop treatment — cleaning, repair, or restoration by material. No shared soak. No washing machine.
- Cold-dry & QC — controlled drying, then a check against the intake photos.
- Handover or delivery — collect at Binh Thanh or District 7 Him Lam, or take two-way AhaMove doorstep delivery.
Warranty, in plain words
- Cleaning: redone free within 48 hours of handover if the agreed result is not met.
- Sole reglue and stitching: up to 60-day craftsmanship warranty on the work we did.
- Repaint / colour work: 30-day warranty against flaking or unnatural fade, stated on the quote.
- Result still depends on material age, glue, and prior DIY damage. We say the limit before we start.
